consumers Power POWERING MICHIGAN'S PROGRESS Palisades Nuclear Plant: 27780 Blue Star Memorial Highway, Covert, Ml 49043 October 25, 1995 U S Nuclear Regulatory Commission Document Control Desk Washington, DC 20555 DOCKET 50-255 - LICENSE DPR PALISADES PLANT REVISED REPLY TO GENERIC LETTER 95 PRESSURE LOCKING AND THERMAL BINDING OF SAFETY~RELATED POWER-OPERATED GATE VALVES On October 13, 1995, we submitted the requested sixty-day response to Generic Letter 95-07, "Pressure Locking and Thermal Binding of Saf~ty-Rel ated Power Operated Gate Valves." That response not only confirmed that Palisades intends to implement the actions requested in the Generic Letter, but also implied that an additional submittal would be made on or before November 15, 1995 to identify those valves susceptible to pressure locking and thermal binding. While the screening evaluation of safety-related power-operated gate valves will be completed -0n or before November 15, 1995, no additional submittal will be made at that time. As stated in our October 13, 1995 letter, the corrective actions completed and any corrective actions to be taken to disposition the identified

.susceptibilities will be reported in the required 180-day submittal.
