Dear Mr. Palmisano:
We have received the enclosed Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) correspondence dated August 29, 1995 transmitting the FEMA evaluation report for the May 17, 1994 Emergency Preparedness Exercise at the Palisades Nuclear Power Plant.
There were no Deficiencies identified during the exercise. There were; however, five Areas Requiring Corrective Action (ARCAs) identified.
We fully recognize that any corrective actions to be implemented may involve parties and political institutions which are not under your direct control.
Nonetheless, we expect that assistance, if appropriate, will be extended.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this letter and the enclosed FEMA correspondence will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
