Our May 20, 1994 letter to the NRC identified that the 16 safety related Core Exit Thermocouples (CETs) were connected to the non-safety related primary data logger without proper electrical isolation.
We had previously committed to disconnect the CET signal cables from the data logger, but this was not accomplished due to concerns of plant operators.
The May 20, 1994 letter provided just ifi cation for deviating from our commitments unt i1 the end of the.
next refueling outage, when modifications would be completed to resolve the isolation deficiency.
The NRC's June 1, 1994 letter approved our request for deviation.
The purp.ose of this letter is to inform the staff that modifications which eliminate the safety related to non-safety related isolation problem were completed during the 1995 refueling outage which ended on August 21, 1995.
The primary data logger has.been retired and its function. replaced by a new plant comp~ter. Therefore, we are no longer operating under the conditions of the Juna I, 1994 NRC approved deviation.
