On October 6, 1994, a conference call was held with the NRC to align on the status of our efforts to resolve the final inputs for our MHA analysis. One of those efforts, which we have completed, was to determine site specific atmospheric dispersion factors for the plant site such that more realistic assumptions could be made concerning how radioactive dose concentrations transport to the control room.

The site specific efforts were completed by CERMAK PETERKA PETERSEN, INC.

(CPP), a Wind Engineering Consultant. CPP built a scale model of the Palisades plant and the surrounding area and subjected the model to various wind conditions inside a wind tunnel. Through the use of the wind tunnel and plant modeling to scale, specific conclusions were reached as to how a potential radioactive release might reach the control room ventilation system.

The NRC currently has a consultant under co~tract to review the site specific wind tunnel test results from another utility and has suggested that a timely submittal of our wind tunnel test results would help to ensure a timely review by the NRC.

The CPP report prepared for the Palisades Plant ("Wind Tunnel Predictions.of Control Room Intake Concentrations From Three Sources Of Radioactive Materials at the Palisades Nuclear Power Plant" (CPP Project 93-0907)) is provided for r--- . 94*10260099 I
