The inspection
included a review of authorized activities for your Palisades Nuclear
Generating Facility.
At the conclusion of the inspection, the findings were
. discussed with those members of your, staff identified.in. the enclosed report.
Areas examined during the insp_ect.ion are identified in the report. *.Within *
these areas, the inspection .consisted of.~el~ctive examinations of procedures
and representative records, interviews with personnel, and.observation of.

from maintenance of a hydrogen recombiner (paragraph 6.b}, appeared to be in .
violatirin of NRC re~uiremerits.
Howe~er, as d~scribed in the enclosed

inspectiori report, you identified this violation. Therefore, the violation
will not be subject to enforcement action because your efforts in identi.fying
and correcting the violation met the crit~ria specified in Section viI.B of -
the "General Statement of Policy arid Procedure for NRC Enforcement Actions,"
(Enforcement. Policy, 10 CFR Part 2, Appendi~ C).
