Dear Mr. Slade:
This letter refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by
Mr. J. A. Holmes of this office on February 10-14, 1992.
This
inspection, at the Palisades Nuclear Power Plant, included an
assessment and evaluation of your support and implementation of
your fire protection program~
At the conclusion of the
inspection, we discussed our inspection findings with those
members of your staff identified in the enclosed report.
Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the
inspection report.
Within these areas, we selectively examined
procedures and representative records, made observations, and
conducted interviews with your personnel.
No violations of NRC requirements were identified during the
course of this inspection.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations,
a copy of this letter and the enclosed inspection report will be
placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
We will gladly discuss any questions you have concerning this
inspection.
