This refers to the special safety inspection conducted by Messrs. W.' C. Liu and
J. M. Jacobson of this office during January 22 through July 20, 1990, of steam
generator replacement activities at the Palisades Nuclea~ Generating Plant
authorized by NRC Operating License No. DPR-20 and to the discussion of our
findings with Mr. K. Chao at the conclusion of the inspection. -
The enclo5ed copy bf our inspection report identifies areas examined during .
the inspection. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of a selective
examination of procedures and representative records, observations, and
interviews with personnel.
- No violations of NRC requirements were identified du~ing the course of this
-/inspection.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission
1s regulations, a copy of
this letter and the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the NRC
Puolic Document Room.
