Dear Mr. Fugere:
May 15, 1990 In our telephone conversation last week you indicated that Consumers Power was ready to issue changes to their Emergency Plan Implementing Procedures to reflect the implementation of the Emergency Response Data System (EROS) at Palisades.
You indicated that the planned implementation date for this change was J~ne 1, 1990.
As you know, EROS has been installed at the NRC Operations Center in Bethesda, Maryland.
The system has not yet undergone final testing, and therefore, is not officially in service.
The Site Acceptance Test for EROS is scheduled to be performed during the period of June 12-22, 1990.
I would recommend that you implement the change to your EPIPs after the successful completion of these tests.
