This refers to the visit conducted by Mr. G. L. Pirtle of this office on March 6-7, 1990, at the Palisades Nuclear Power Plant authorized by NRC Operating License No. DPR-20 and to discussions with Mr. S. Cote and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the visit.
The purpose of this visit was to discuss proposed construction activities pertaining to security facilities and to meet the onsite managers of the Fitness-For-Duty program.
A formal review of your proposed security facility changes will be completed when the appropriate documents are submitted for NRC review.
The visit was not an inspection to determine the adequacy of Fitness-For-Duty or security measures or to determine compliance with existing commitments.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission 1s regulations, a copy of this letter will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
