1989 Occupational Radiation Exposure The attached table sunmarizes personnel radiation exposure by job function, workgroup and employer for the year 1989.
The attached table and the method by which it was prepared meet the reporting requirements of Section 6.9.1.b of the Palisades Plant Technical Specifica-tions.
The exposures were derived from Direct Reading Dosimeter (ORD) data and were then adjusted by a factor which corrects the DRD exposure so that it is nearly equal to the thermoluminescent dosimeter exposure used in compiling the legal radiation exposure record for each individual. This correction factor is applied to each job function/workgroup/employer category on the attached table.
Special maintenance activities for the year 1989 include replacing PORV's, hangers and associated piping; replacing PCS cold leg drain valves; miscellaneous hanger work; steam generator replacement project preparation; shield cooling system repair and service water modifications
