G 7590-01 UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION CONSUMERS POWER COMPANY DOCKET NO. 50-255 NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL OF APPLICATION FOR AMENDMENT TO PROVISIONAL OPERATING LICENSE The United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission} has granted the request of Consumers Power Company (the licensee} to withdraw its February 5, 1985 application (as supplemented by letters dated November 21, 1985, and March 9, 1987) for proposed amendment to Provisional Operating License No. DPR-20 for the Palisades Plant, located in Van Buren County, Michigan.
The proposed change would have modified the Appendix A Technical Specifications (TSs} pertaining to fire protection systems. Specifically, the proposed changes would have modified Limiting Conditions for Operation for Fire Protection~Water Systems, Fire Sprinkler Systems, Hose Stations, and Fire-Rated F1re Protection Assemblies and Surveillance Requirements for Fire Sprinkler Systems and Fire-Rated Fire Protection Assemblies.
The Co1TBTiission has previously issued a Notice of Consideration of Issuance of Amendment published in the FEDERAL REGISTER on May 21, 1985, (50 FR 20975). However, by letter dated March 23, 1989, the licensee withdrew the proposed change~
