PALISADES PLANT - WITHDRAWAL OF AN AMENDMENT REQUEST - LEAKAGE DETECTION SYSTEM (TAC NO. 53545)
By letter dated December 13, 1983, and supplemented by letter dated May 23, 1985, you applied for an amendment to Provisional Operating License,

No. DPR-20.
The proposed change would have modified the facility technical specifications pertaining to the operability of primary coolant system leakage detection systems.
The modifications would have added specifications identifying the conditions under which the leakage detection systems would have to be operable, the minimum number of operable channels per system, actions to be taken when less than the minimum specified channels are operable, and periodic surveillance required.
Your letter of January 24, 1989, which requested withdrawal of your applicati9n, indicates that Consumers Power Company commits *to a reevaluation of SEP Topic III-5.A with' respect to the Containment Atmosphere Gaseous Radiation Monitor, and to submit an appropriate revision with the Restructured Technical Specifications.
Your letter further commits that until then the remaining leakage detectors as described in the application of May 23, 1985 will be incorporated into the administrative controls.
The Commission has filed the enclosed Notice of Withdrawal of Application for Amendment to Provisional Operating License with the Office of the Federal Register for publication.
