SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE FOR MARCH, 1989 The reactor was brought critical on March 1, 0657 hours0.0076 days
0.183 hours
0.00109 weeks
2.499885e-4 months
with the main generator being synchronized to the grid at 2330 hours0.027 days
0.647 hours
0.00385 weeks
8.86565e-4 months
.

For steam generator improved re-liability purposes, a 90% administrative power limit was induced, and this level was maintained until March 10 (1511 hours0.0175 days
0.42 hours
0.0025 weeks
5.749355e-4 months
) when a 10% power decrease was initiated due to high off gas counts.

This 10% power reduction was repeated on March 11 (1100 hours0.0127 days
0.306 hours
0.00182 weeks
4.1855e-4 months
) and again on March 11 (1815 hours0.021 days
0.504 hours
0.003 weeks
6.906075e-4 months
).

Reactor power was then main-tained at 60% for the remainder of the month with no significant increase in off gas counts.
