JUN 2 7 1d00 This is to acknowledge receipt of your letter of May 26, 1988~ which.
transmitted several minor changes to the Palisades Plant Site Emergency Plan.
These revisions were received in this office on J~ne 9, 1988.
We have completed our revi~w of the Palisades Emergency Plan, including. the revisibns which were in Section 1, Section 4, Section 7, and App~ndix E; Our review has determined that with these changes, the plan is consistent with the requirements of 10 CFR 50. 54( q). These changes do not decrease**
- the effective~ess of the plan, and are therefore acceptable.
Please be reminded ihat 10 CFR 50~54(q) requires NRC approval of any changes to your.plan which may decrease the effectiveness of the plan.
However,* if your safety review indicates no decrease in emergency preparedness effectiveness, then changes can be made* *with out prior NRC approva 1. In an*
cases,*you must furnish copies of each proposed change to the NRC in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(q). Also, any changes to the Emergency Plan Implemehting Procedures should be made 'in=accordance with the requirements
- 6f 10 CFR, Part 50~ Appendix E,Section V (Implementing Procedures).
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this l~tter wil_l.be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
