NUREG 0737, ITEM II.K.3.5 REACTOR COOLANT PUMP TRIP (TAC NO. 49700) -
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The NRC letter dated April 15, 1988 requested additional information regarding Reactor Coolant Pump (RCP) trip points, instruments, instrument uncertainties, and procedures involved in the Palisades implementation of the Trip Two/Leave Two RCP trip strategy during transients.
As stated in our June 10, 1988 letter, we originally planned to submit the requested information* before October 14, 1988.
Due to the late publication of the CEOG Report No. CE-NPSD-471 "Best Estimate Instrumentation Inaccuracies for EOP Use", and the Palisades 1988 REFOUT occurring four weeks early, we find that our instrument inaccuracy analyses cannot be completed to permit meeting the planned October 14, 1988 submittal date.
As a result, we have restructured our analysis schedule to ensure the requested information will be submitted on or before December 2, 1988.
