This confirms our plans as discussed between Mr. Ken-Berry of your staff and Mr. Bruce Burgess-of this office to have a meeting with you and members of your staff at Palisades on September 12, 1988 at 1:00 p.m **. The purpose of the meeting is to _present the_SALP 8 Report for the Palisades Nuclear Generating Plant.
We encourage you to have appropriate corporate and plant management representation at the meeting to ensure a mutual understanding of the issues and findings being presented by the NRC.
While this meeting is considered a presentation and discussion forum between Consumers Power Company and the NRC, the meeting will be opened to any other interested parties as observers. Those persons outside the licensee and MRC staffs should inform the Regional Office of thei_r intent to participate.
We hope this meeting will benefit your 6rganization and provide yo~ with a meaningful characterization of the overall safety performance for the Palisades Nuclear Generating Plan~. -
