TM! ACTION ITEM II.K.3.25 POWER ON PUMP SEALS Re:
Palisades Plant The subject action item requires licensees to demonstrate that the integrity of their reactor coolant pump seals is maintained (e.g., adequately ~ooled) during a loss of offsite power event~ You responded to this item in your submittal dated December 19, 1980 and supplemented your response by letter dated October 5, 1984.
In that letter you committed to add the component cooling water pumps to the shutdown sequencer.
This assures that the component cooling water pumps will start automatically when the diesel generators start and attain proper voltage after a loss of offsite power and reinitiate cooling to the reactor coolant pump seals. This modification is planned for the next refueling outage.
We find your response~ as supplemented, acceptable and Item II.K.3.25 for Palisades is resolved.
