CONSUMERS POWER COMPANY r DOCKET S0-2SS - LICENSE DPR PALISADES PLANT REQUEST FOR CHANGE TO TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS For the reasons hereinafter set forth, it is requested that the Technical Specifications contained in the Provisional Operating License DPR-20, Docket S0-2SS, issued to Consumers Power Company on October 16, 1972, for the Palisades Plant be changed as described in Section I below:
I. CHANGE(s)
A.
Change the title of Section 1.4 to read:
Miscellaneous Definitions B.
Add to Section 1.4 the following definition:
Reportable Event A reportable event shall be any of those conditions specified in Section S0.73 to 10 CFR Part SO.
C.
Change Section 3.1.4.e, second sentence to read as follows:
A Special Report shall be prepared and submitted to the Director of the appropriate Regional Office within thirty days of the occurance of the event.
D.
Change Section 6.S.1.6.i to read as follows:
Review of all reportable events as defined in Section 1.4.
E.
Change Section 6.S.2.8.1.b to read as follows:
All reportable events and other violations (of applicable statutes, codes, regulations, orders, Technical.Specifications, license requirements or of internal procedures or instructions) having nuclear safety significance.
F.
Change Section 6.9.2 Reportable Occurences, to read as follows:
Reportable Events The Commission shall be notified of Reportable Events and a report submitted pursuant to the requirements of Section S0.73 to 10 CFR Part SO.
G.
Delete Section 6.9.2.a, and 6.9.2.b and footnotes.
H.
Change Section 6.10.1.c to read as follows:
All reportable events as defined in Section 1.4.

II. DISCUSSION' The above proposed Technical Specifications changes are requested in order to reflect the reporting requirements of 10 CFR 50.73.
These proposed changes are being made at the request of the Commission as stated in Generic Letter 83-43.
III. CONCLUSION 2
The Palisades Plant Review Committee has reviewed this Technical Specification Change Request and has determined that this change does not involve an unreviewed safety question and therefore involves no significant hazards consideration.
This change has also been reviewed under the cognizance of the Nuclear Safety Board.
A copy of this Technical Specification Change Request has been sent to the State of Michigan official designated to receive such Amendments to the Operating License.
