1 SFC-76-110 This modification replaced pump shafts having 7 stage impellers on the High Pressure Safety Injection Pumps, P66A, B and C with shafts having retaining rings behind impellers stages 1 through 6, and set screws behind the 7th stage.

This modification was proposed by the manufacturer per their design.

Safety Evaluation Summary The operation of the Pumps was not affected by the addition of the set screws and retainer rings.

The operating parameters were not affected by thi.S sub-stitution.

The possib.ility of malfunction of a different type, or an accident, was not increased by this substitution.

An unreviewed safety question does-not exist.

SFC-81-056 Containment Humidity transmitters were replaced with an updated system _providing higher output DC current under this modification.

Safety Evaluation Summary All original specifications were met or exceeded by this replacement. No unreviewed safety question existed, and the margin of safety was not reduced.

SFC-77-09 Installation of a relay in interlock circuit in the Neutron Monitoring System to eliminate power supply intermittent loadings and installation of new potentionmeters for improved resolution were done under this modification.

Safety Evaluation Summary This modification improved the reliability of the system and aliows greater resolution when making adjustments, thus the possibility of occurrence or the consequences of an accident or malfunction of equipment is not increased.

SC-83-098 Per this modification holes were drilled in the Auxilliary Building floor in the Spent Fuel Pool area at the 649' elevation to enable the installation of Anchor Bolts to secure the Exxon Poison Cluster removal tool support assembly.

Safety Evaluation Summary The probability of occurrence or consequences of a malfunction to the Auxilliary Building was not increased by the drilling of the holes in the floor.

FC-441-2 This modification covered the Long Term Cooling, Phase II, Hot Leg Injection, Primary Coolant System and High Pressure Safety Injection system connection of the HPSI pumps discharge to existing Hot Leg I drain line to enable Post LOCA Long Term cooling to ensure adequate coolant flow.

The system consists of two flow paths into the hot leg drain line.

Safety Evaluation Summary Overall system reliability has been increased by this modification.

The possibility of occurrence or consequence of an accident or malfunction of equipment important to safety is not increased.

FC-547 This modification replaced the Pendant Control Box on the Fuel Pool Crane with a radio control system.

Safety Evaluation Summary 2

The method of attachment for the control *panel to the crane structure covered by the FSAR does not increase the probability or occurrence of the consequences of an accident to equipment important to safety previously evaluated in the FSAR.

The equipment replaced is not identified in the Technical Specifications, therefore the margin of safety is not re_duced.

FC-459-5 Addition of a BUS cubicle and all necessary wiring to the Control Room for the Asphalt Extruder System was covered by this modification.

The only Q listed item effected is the control room penetration.

Safety Evaluation Summary The new equipment is not safety related and is not addressed in the FSAR.

No new accident scenerio is created which could affect FSAR BUSES since malfunction of this new equipment resulting in the failure of the A BUS has no affect on FSAR analysis.

Tne A BUS is not identified in the Technical Specifications and the margin of safety is not reduced.

FC-494-3.

An Emergency Radioactive Gaseous Effluent monitoring system was installed on the Auxilliary Building roof per Reg. Guide 1.29, 1978.

Safety Evaluation Summary The equipment installed has no control function effect on accident or malfunction probabilities or consequences for equipment important to safety previously evaluated in the FSAR.

The margin of safety is not reduced since none of the equipment is identified by the Technical Specifications.

3 FC-497 This modification replaced the original main Station Batteries (D0-1 and D0-2),

racks and installed new ventilation system for both Battery rooms.

Safety Evaluation Summary The replacement has a positive impact on the DC system in particular, and the Plant in general relative to Plant reliability and the health and safety of the public, with no decrease in the margin of safety.

Reliability is improved due to design.
