1945 West Parnall Road, Jackson, Ml 49201 * (517) 788-0550 December 5, 1983 Dennis M Crutchfield, Chief Operating Reactor Branch No 5 Nuclear Reactor Regulation US Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, DC 20555 DOCKET 50-255 - LICENSE DPR PALISADES PLANT - RADIOLOGICAL EFFLUENT TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS NRC letter dated October 31, 1983 and entitled "Radiological Effluent Technical Specifications" transmitted Draft "7" of NUREG-0472, a comparison of Palisades Plant RETS with NUREG-0472, and an evaluation of Consumers Power Companys submittal of the Offsite Dose Calculation Manual (ODCM).
In this letter the NRC requested that Consumers Power Company transmit our schedule for formal submittal of the final RETS and ODCM. The specific activities that will have to be performed are shown on Attachment 1.
The level of effort necessary to accomplish the required tasks has been evaluated in conjunction with the activities associated with the present refueling outage and has resulted in a anticipated submittal date of July 31, 1984. Any changes to the anticipated submittal date will be transmitted to the NRC upon identification.
Consumers Power Company proposes to meet with the NRC and representatives of Franklin Research Center during the first week of April, 1984 to facilitate proper resolution of unresolved issues and to solicit comments regarding our evaluation.
Specific arrangements of the time and place of the meeting will be coordinated with the NRC at a later date.
