The remaining open item pertains to demonstrating that the steel embedments meet the requirements of the American Concrete Inst'itute Standard ACI-349-80, Appendix B.
This letter provides the NRC staff, with an action plan to complete the open item and a schedule to satisfy our January 12, 1983 commitment.
Since the work effort associated with this open item is more extensive than originally estimated, Consumers Power Company is unable to resolve the open item at this time.
However, we have attached an action plan for closing the remaining open item.
The action plan will be completed and a summary report will be submitted by August 26, 1983.
The summary report will be written as an Addendum to our letter dated October 8, 1982.
