Describe emergency radiation exposure limits.

Describe the method for use of thyroid blocking agents.

Describe the method for transporting contaminated victims to hospitals.

A TT /\\CHtlENTS None SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

1.

Contamination over 5,000 cpm and internal contamination (mouth, nose, skin breaks) shall require notification of the Plant Health Physicist or Radiation Protection Supervisor.

2.

Chemicals other than soap aud "'ater-shall not he used other than under the direction of the Plant Health Physicist, Radiation Protection Supervisor, or Physician.

3.

Care must be taken not to spread contamination, especially to hody and skin openings. *

Carry out decontamination procedures.

Obtain supplies to protect the interior of the ambulance - plastic, blotter paper, tape.

Furnish protective clothing and respirators to ambulance crew.

Accompany the victim to the hospital, and assist in radiological monitoring and contamination control.

Plant personnel will a~sist the ambulance and hospital in decontaminating their areas and equipment and in disposing of waste.
