PALISADES - SEP TOPICS - DESIGN BASIS EVENTS By letter dated July 17,* l981, the staff issued its evaluation of design basis events (DBE) for Palisades.

In a submittal dated September 24, 1981, you provided additional analyses affecting some of the topic evaluations.

The staff has reviewed your submittal and we have revised portions of the DBE report accordingly. For consistency, we have reissued the entire report (enclosed) although only three topics (XV-1, XV-2, XV-7) were affected.

The topic rev.fews provided in this report are considered to be complete.

Any unresolved -deviations arising from these-topics will be addressed as part of the integrated plant safety assessment.

The topic assessment may

-be revised in the future if your facility design is changed or if NRC cciteria relating to this topic are modified before the integrated assess-ment is completed. *
