III-5.A. At this meeting, several questions were raised concerning the methodology used to calculate pipe rupt1lre loads, energy absorption capacity of piping targets, and pipe whip effects.

In response to these questions, the attached EDS Nuclear procedures. (0540-001-02 and 0540-001-003) are hereby submitted. These procedures define the methodology which was used for our analyses. We trust that this information will satisfy

~the staff's needs.
