- This refers to the discussion between Mr. A. B. Davis and other NRC
- representatives and Mr. R. B. DeWitt and others of your staff at the iPalisades Plant on August 15, 1980, regarding the plant post-accident
- effluent monitoring system.

- Regarding that system, we understand that you will complete the following 1actions by the dates indicated.

By August 16, 1980, complete and issue approved procedures for implementing the interim system installed to quantify noble gas release rates up to 10,000 Ci/sec from stack and steam dump sources.
By August 16, 1980, train appropriate shift personnel in use of the procedures described in (1) above.
By August 22, 1980,.modify the monitoring system to provide a one-decade range overlap between the interim system and the normal installed system, or advise NRR in writing, providing sufficient justification for continued reactor operation without such overlap.
