SUMMARY

OF SHUTDOWN EXPERIENCE FOR OCTOBER 1978 10-2-78 10-10-78 10-17-78 The plant was taken off-line in order to permit repairs to leaking CRDM Seals.

Two seals were replaced.

In addition, the position indication on one CRDM was re-zeroed, oil was added to one Primary Coolant Pump (P-50C) and changed in another Primary Coolant Pump (P-50A).

The outage lasted 123.4 hours4.62963e-5 days <br />0.00111 hours <br />6.613757e-6 weeks <br />1.522e-6 months <br />.

The plant was taken off-line for CRDM repairs.

Seventeen seals were replaced.

In addition, the Auxiliary Feedwater Pumps were repacked.

This outage lasted 133.5 hours5.787037e-5 days <br />0.00139 hours <br />8.267196e-6 weeks <br />1.9025e-6 months <br />.

Because of a Feedwater Pump trip when attempting to change the steam supply from high pressure to low pressure steam, the Reactor tripped on low Steam Generator water level.
