In. the Matter of Docket No. 50-260 Tennessee Valley Authority BROWNS FERRY NUCLEAR PLANT (BFN) - UNIT 2 - AMERICAN SOCIETY OF MECHANICAL'NGINEERS (ASME), SECTION ZI, INSERVICE INSPECTION (ISI) PROGRAM REVISION This letter provides for information, a revision to the BFN Unit 2, second ten year interval, ISI program in accordance with ASME Section XI, IWA-1400. The code of record for the current interval is the 1986 Edition (no addenda) of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code,Section XI.

The enclosure to this letter contains an updated. BFN Unit 2 ISI program which conforms to the 1986 Edition (no addenda) of the ASME Section XI Code, except where relief has been requested. Program revisions included are:

Revised reporting of discrepancies from the Inspection Report to the Notification of Indication. Disposition of indications will remain in accordance with the BFN site corrective action program.

Added a reference for the augmented enhanced visual examination of the Core Spray System piping creviced weld regions in accordance with the recommendations of l General Electric Service Information Letter number 289. pQp ~
