NIVlP2 VEND R MAN A BA KL An initial evaluation of the NMP2 Vendor Manual Backlog identified by the Controlled Document System Planning and Scheduling database indicated that 394 vendor documents were in the review cycle, These documents were evaluated for safety class and breakdown as follows (Reference Attachment A):

129 documents for safety related equipment

40 documents for Quality (Q) equipment

225 documents for non-safety related equipment Allsafety related manuals were reviewed for plant impact and any restraints to restart identified have been cleared (Reference Memo 79792 Attached).
The vendor document backlog has been assessed and categorized by reason code for the document being in the review cycle (Reference Attachment C, D Bc E).
As indicated, 74 documents are either previously issued or not vendor manuals, leaving a vendor. manual backlog of 320.
43 non-safety related manuals are still being categorized.
The non-safety related manuals are undergoing review for potential impact and are scheduled for completion no later than October 15, 1991.
Within 30 days of plant restart an action plan will be formulated to perform the detailed review of the documents to bring the backlog down to acceptable levels.

- 79792, regarding corrective actions required to resolve the NMP2 Vendor Manual
- Backlog, the following has been completed:
The vendor manual backlog has been identified by vendor tracking number using the Controlled Document System Planning and Scheduling data base.
All documents have been identified per Safety Class i.e.
SR Safety Related; NSR
~ Non-Safety Related; and Q ~ Quality Related All safety related documents have been evaluated for determination of impact on installed equipment and equipment operability Any safety related document determined to have an impact was further reviewed to identify what action(s) must be taken to clear the restraint prior to restart.
Only one (1) item was identified as a restraint to restart:
Due to a revision to the vendor manual for PAPCO Dampers (Document Transmittal IT20019),
field activities on these dampers were reviewed.
Based on the evaluation of maintenance activities in the field, seven (7) dampers were identified which required field testing to verify functionality.
These dampers were subsequently tested and found to be acceptable.
All non-safety related documents have been identified and review format developed (same as SR) and approximately 75X of reviews are complete with the balance to be completed 30 days after plant restart or sooner.
