Dear Dr. Murley:
In accordance with previous discussions with Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation (NMPC) and Region I of the Nuclear Regulatory Commis-sion (NRC), Management Analysis Company (MAC) is submitting a
revision to Volume I of the final report of the independent review of Nine Mile Point Unit 2 (NMP-2) related NRC CAT inspections, SALP report and NMPC identified deficiencies.
The purpose of this revision is to clarify the report and to report data in the same manner as presented orally to NMPC and the NRC on November 14, 1984 and in the written interim reports for Phase I, II and III.
The changes are consistent with detailed results of the review as shown in Volumes II and III of the report, which remain unchanged, and with supporting documentation in project records.
