In the Matter of Docket Nos. 50-260 Tennessee Valley Authority BROWNS FERRY NUCLEAR PLANT (BFN) UNIT 2 REVISION TO CORE OPERATING LIMITS REPORT (COLR)

In accordance with the requirements of Technical Specification 6.9.1.7, TVA is submitting in the enclosure a revision to the Unit 2 COLR. The revised COLR was issued March 24, 1994, to support Unit 2 operation with a revised minimum critical power ratio (MCPR) operating limit.

Figures 1 and 2 of the current Unit 2 COLR specify the MCPR operating limit for each fuel type. Since Unit 2 startup in June 1993 following the Cycle 6 refueling outage, TVA has operated Unit 2 in a manner that optimizes fuel management and extends the full power operating life of the core. As a result, TVA is now predicting that the end-of-cycle exposure distribution will be slightly different than TVA assumed inTo its original transient analysis for the operating cycle.
