DATA,POINT LIBRARY In accordance with the requirements of '10 CFR 50, Appendix E, Part VI, paragraph 3a, TVA is notifying NRC of a revision to the BFN ERDS Data Point Library.
Specifically, on February 14,
- 1994, TVA revised the alarm/trip setpoints for the, suppression pool temperature (ERDS. point number 24).
The specific revisions are provided below.
ERDS POINT NUMBER 24 REVISIONS 1.
The "LO" alarm setpoint of 75'F is deleted.
2.
The "LOLO" alarm setpoint of 70'F is revised to 50'F.
REASON FOR THE REVISIONS The process computer originally had both "LO" and "LOLO" alarms to indicate abnormally low suppression pool temperatures to the plant operators.
TVA determined that the "LOLO" alarm setpoint was too high to be indicative of abnormal temperatures.
TVA also determined that the "LO" alarm does not provide meaningful information to plant operators.
Accordingly, TVA has deleted the "LO" alarm and revised the "LOLO" alarm to 50'F to more accurately represent abnormally low suppression pool temperatures.
