NIAGARA MOHAWI< POWER CORPORATION NINE MILE POINT NUCLEAR STATION UNIT /fl NARRATIVE OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE NOVEMBER 1979 The station operated with a monthly availability factor of 100%, and a net design electrical capacity factor of 97.5%. During the entire month 815 Reactor Recirculation Pump was out of service and isolated due to mechanical problems. Capacity factor loss was attributed to required control rod adjustments and recirculation flow limitations.

MAINTENANCE ON CLASS IE UIPMENT November 26 811 Control Rod Drive Replaced shims and gasket on outboard bearing November 26 //11 Inst. Air Compressor Replaced Casing cover gasket November 29 Control Rod Drive Flow Replaced valve stem, Control Valve ball and flange gaskets Completed piping system restraint work per I.E. Bulletin 79-02. As built drawings being compiled by engineering department.

No other station modifications were completed during the month.
