These changes incorporate certain responses into the text of the Final Safety Analysis Report or Environmental

Also included are changes which have resulted from our continuing review of these documents.

- aware, the New 'York Power Authority (NYPA) was previously known as the Power Authority of the State of New'ork (PASNY).
Since this is a
change of name only and has no other effects, we have not revised the references to PASNY in either our Final Safety Analysis Report or Environmental Report.
Starting with this amendment and supplement,
- however, we wi 11 incorporate this name change in those portions being revised for other reasons.

'Q Nine Mile Point Unit 2 FSAR I.C.2 SHIFT AND REJ IEF TURNOVER PROCEDURES FSAR Cross Reference Section 13.5.1 NUREG-0737 Position The licensees shall review and revise as necessary the plant procedure for shift and relief turnover to assure the following:
A checklist shall be provided for the oncoming and offgoing Control Room Operators and 'he oncoming Shift Supervisor to complete and sign.
The following items, as a minimum, shall be included in the checklist:
a.
Assurance that critical plant parameters are within allowable limits (parameters and allowable limits shall be listed on the checklist).
b.
Assurance of the availability and proper alignment of all systems essential, to the prevention and mitigation of operational transients and accidents by a
check of the control console (what to check and criteria for acceptable status shall be included in the checklist).
C.
Identification of systems and components that are in a degraded mode of operation permitted by the Technical Specifications.
For such systems and components, the length of time in the degraded mode shall be compared with the Technical Specifications action statement (this shall be recorded as a separate entry on the checklist).

Checklists or logs shall be provided for completion by the offgoing and ongoing auxiliary operators and technicians.
Such checklists or logs shall include any equipment under maintenance or test that by itself could degrade a
system critical to the prevention and mitigation of operational transients and accidents or initiate an operational transient (what to check and criteria for acceptable status shall be included on the checklist).

A system shall be established to evaluate the effectiveness of the shift and relief turnover procedure.
Nine Mile Point Unit 2 Position The Unit 2 shift relief turnover procedures will include:
