SENIOR REACTOR OPERATOR LIMITED TO FUEL HANDLING (LSRO)
LICENSE EXAMINATION REQUEST This refers to your letter dated September 30,
- 1991, requesting us to administer license examinations to six Senior Reactor Operator Limited to Fuel Handling (LSRO) candidates in January 1992.
Your request was not received in sufficient time to allow us to schedule examinations.
You did not indicate that an LSRO examination would be required in your response to Generic Letter 90-07.
We require a minimum of six months notice to schedule license examinations.
The requested date for the examinations is not within your assigned dates in accordance with the Operator Licensing National Examination Schedule (NES).
Requests for examinations outside of the NES are only granted for extenuating circumstances.
Administration of an LSRO examination in January 1992 would require us to cancel or postpone other activities.
We request that you respond as soon as possible with a letter describing the extenuating circumstances that require examinations outside of the NES and the impact on the safety of the plant if the examinations were not administered in January 1992.
