UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY BROWNS FERRY NUCLEAR PLANT UNIT 2 DOCKET NO. 50-260 NOTICE OF PARTIAL WITHDRAWAL OF AN AMENDMENT RE VEST TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has approved the withdrawal of a portion of a Technical Specification (TS) amendment request by the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA or the licensee) for an amendment to Facility Operating License No.

OPR-52, issued to the Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant, Unit 2, respectively.

The plant is located in Limestone

County, Alabama.

Notice of Consideration of Issuance of this amendment was published in the FEDERAL REGISTER on May 27, 1992 (57 FR 22270).

As part of the license amendment request dated April 13,

1992, TVA proposed to delete Definition NN., "Appendix R Safe Shutdown Program,"

from the Unit 2 TS.

By letter dated March 19, 1993, the licensee has withdrawn this part from the original amendment request.

For further details with respect to this action, see (1) the application for amendments dated April 13,

1992, and (2) the licensee's letter dated March 19, 1993.
