UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY BROWNS FERRY NUCLEAR PLANT UNIT 2 DOCKET NO. 50-260 NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL OF AN AMENDMENT RE VEST TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE The U.
S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has approved the withdrawal of a Technical Specification (TS) amendment request by the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA or the licensee) for an amendment to Facility Operating License No. DPR-52, issued to the Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant, Unit 2.
The plant is located in Limestone County, Alabama.
Notice of Consideration of Issuance of this amendment was published in the FEDERAL REGISTER on December 17, 1991 (56 FR 65515).
The application being withdrawn was originally submitted by an amendment request dated December 6,
1991.
The licensee proposed to revise the Browns Ferry Technical Specifications to permit extended operation with only one operable train of the Containment Atmosphere Dilution (CAD) System.
By letter dated March ll, 1992, the licensee withdrew its license amendment application.
