BROWNS FERRY NUCLEAR PLANT UNITS 1, 2, AND 3 - UPDATED FINAL SAFETY ANALYSIS REPORT (UFSAR), AflENDflENT NO. 8 The NRC staff has completed an audit of UFSAR Amendment No.
8 for conformance with the Code of Federal Regulations 10 CFR 50.4, 50.59, and 50.71(e).
The subject UFSAR Amendment B,was transmitted to the NRC by letter dated July 17, 1991.
The UFSAR is an annual requirement in 10 CFR 50.71(e) for all licensees.
It includes changes made to the Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant (BFN) facility and procedures as described in'he FSAR prior to the BFN annual cutoff date of January 22, 1991.
The NRC audit report is enclosed.
The staff verified that controls maintained by BFN for implementing 10 CFR 50.4, 50.59 and 50.71(e) are in place and followed effectively by the site organization.
Furthermore, the staff concludes that UFSAR Amendment 8 conforms with the applicable provisions of 10 CFR 50.71(e).
