PRIMARY CONTAINMENT ISOLATION AT BROWNS FERRY NUCLEAR PLANT, UNITS 1, 2 AND 3 (TAC NOS. R00080,

R00081, and R00082)

This letter transmits the summary of a July 10-11, 1990 meeting of TVA personnel with the NRC staff at Browns Ferry.

In addition, this is a request that TVA formally respond within thirty days to the recommendations made by the staff during the exit meeting and appearing on Page 2 of the enclosed summary.

In order that the staff may complete its safety evaluation report in time to support the Browns Ferry, Unit 2, restart schedule it is. important that we be informed on how TVA plans to disposition these recommendations as soon as

-practicable.
