A Nuclear Regulatory

(NRC) team inspected

the Browns Ferry Nuclear

Plant, Unit 2 (BFH-2), on April 23-27,

1990.

During this inspection,

the team

reviev(ed the adequacy of Tennessee

Valley Authority'

(TVA) implementation of

their electrical

issues

program.

The enclosed

inspection report details the

scope,

objectives

and findings of the

NRC inspection.

The response

directed

by this letter and its enclosure

are not subject to the

clearance

procedures

of the Office of Management

and Budget

as required

by the

Paperwork Reduction Act of 1980,

PL 86-511.

In accordance

with Section

2.790 of the NRC's,

"Rules of Practice,"

Part 2,

Title 10,

Code of Federal'Regulations,

a copy of this letter and its enclosure

will be placed in the

NRC Public Document

NRC team concluded that implementation of the electr ical issues

program at

BFH-2 by TVA met applicable

program plan requirements.

However, resolution of

two specific issues (i.e. cable

bend radius

and vertical support) detailed in

the enclosed

inspection report will require additional information from TVA and

further evaluation

by the staff.
