Dear Mr. Kingsley:

SUBJECT:

INSPECTION

REPORT

NOS. 50-259/89-49,

50-260/89-49,

AND

50-296/89-49

Thank

you for your response

of January

8,

1990,

to our Notice of Deviation

issued

on

December

7,

1989,

concerning

activities

conducted

at your Browns

Ferry facility.

We

have

evaluated

your response

and

found that it meets

the

requirements

of

10 CFR 2.201.

We will examine

the

implementation

of your

corrective actions during future inspections.

Your letter requests

NRC approval for discontinuing the formal notification of

senior

management

changes.

We

now

under stand

that this

request

and its

justification will be

addressed

in separate

correspondence

from

TVA to the

NRC.

Therefore, this response

to your January

8,

1990 letter does not address

your request.

We appreciate

your cooperation

in this matter.
