REQUEST FOR INFORMATION REGARDING BROWN FERRY UNIT 2 POWER ASCENSION HOLD POINTS The NRC staff will establish hold points to be used during the power ascension testing of Browns Ferry Unit 2.

We are considering using some of the same hold points described in your September 8,

1989 letter.

In order to determine the appropriate NRC hold points, you are requested to provide, within thirty days of receipt of this letter, summary information on the tests and requirements associated with each of your hold points.

The reporting and/or recordkeeping requirements contained in this letter affect fewer than ten respondents; therefore, OMB clearance is not requir ed under P.L.96-511.

Your response should be coordinated with the NRC Site Manager Danny Carpenter, who can be reached on (205) 729-6196.
