BROWNS FERRY UNIT 2 RESTART - SUBMITTALS NEEDED FROM TVA Enclosed is a list of the submittals the staff needs from TVA to support NRC decisions regarding Unit 2 restart (Enclosure 1).

Any slippage in the target dates listed could adversely impact our review schedule.

These dates have been agreed to by OSP and your staff.

Our reviews may identify the need for additional information to resolve the technical issues if your submittals are incomplete.

We will notify you promptly of these instances as they arise.

In addition, as a result of our scheduling meeting with your staff on November 10,

1988, we are attaching a list of OSP licensing actions targeted for completion prior to our next scheduling meeting on December 20, 1988 (Enclosure 2).

Finally, we are listing action items requiring TVA or OSP follow-up prior to our December meeting (Enclosure 3).

LIST OF ACTIONS RE UIRING TVA AND/OR OSP FOLLOW-UP 1.

TVA will confirm prerequisite schedule for DBVP inspection (i.e.,

calculations of each type to be 80-90$ complete for each type and 20-305 of CRIS completed).

2.

OSP staff will review Emergency Equipment Cooling Water weld radiographs onsite during either December or January.

Need to meet on intergrannular stress corrosion cracking post-induction heating stress improvement inspections will be determined after issuance of safety evaluation on Generic Letter 84-11/88-0l.

3.

TVA will provide confirmation that they have reviewed the Browns Ferry, Unit 2, Technical Specifications to ensure plant changes have been addressed for the NRC staff.
