BROWNS FERRY NUCLEAR PLANT, UNITS 1, 2
AND 3 The staff has reviewed the Tennessee Valley Authority's (TVA) evaluation on moderate energy line break (MELB) flooding submitted by letter dated September 23, 1988.
We find that additional information is necessary to enable the staff to complete its review of the subject program.
Please transmit your responses to this request for additional information provided in the enclosure by November 30, 1988.

- 1988, TVA submitted a moderate energy line break evaluation.
The staff requires TVA responses to the following information requests in order to complete its review.
1.
During inspections as part of the MELB review, how was potential jet impingement damage to critical equipment considered.
2.
Provide the reference for the analysis of effects of the failure ',n the Main Circulating Water System.
Discuss any changes in this analysis due to modifications at the Browns Ferry plant.
