50-259 50-260 50-296 BRONNS FERRY NUCLEAR PLANT (BFN) UPDATE ON VENDOR MANUAL CONTROL PROGRAM Please refer to my March 5, 1987 letter and earlier correspondence to you which provided updates on TVA's Vendor Manual Control Program at BFN.
As of August 25,
- 1987, the quantity of vendor manuals as reported in the Nuclear. Performance
- Plan, Volume 3 for unit 2 restart (Phase
- 2) have been reduced from "approximately 677" to 333 for critical systems, structures, and components.
This reduction is based on additional reviews of plant instructions and procedures for references to vendor manuals, reconciliation of listing of manuals to eliminate duplicate listings, and in some cases, deletion because specific equipment may no longer be. in". the: plant..
This; number is not final, but may vary somewhat as procedures are written, revised, or as equipment is replaced.
Each of these 333 vendor manuals appears on our listing of manuals to be updated during Phase 2 of the vendor Manual Control Program.
