In the Matter of the Tennessee Valley Authority Docket Nos. 50-259 50-260 50-296 BROWNS FERRY NUCLEAR PLANT TVA BFNP TS 223 In accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 50.59 and 50.90, we are enclosing 40 copies of a requested amendment to licenses DPR-33, DPR-52, and DPR-68 to change the technical specifications of Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant units 1, 2, and 3 (enclosure 1).
These proposed specifications clarify the surveillance requirements for the Standby Liquid Control System.
Description, reason for
- change, and justification in support of the proposed changes are enclosed (enclosure 2).
A proposed determination of no significant hazards consideration is provided in enclosure 3.
Our technical specifications retyping effort described in a letter from R. Gridley to you dated July 15, 1986 has caused some delay in submitting technical specification amendment requests.
In an effort to expedite the technical specification change process, we are submitting these changes on the retyped technical specification pages as we believe they will appear when released.
We do not believe this will present any problems since the retyped technical specifications should be in effect before this amendment can be issued.
Enclosed is a check for the 4150 amendment fee required by 10 CFR Part 170.12.
