We have reviewed your submittal dated April 22, 1986, which transmitted a
letter to NRC Region 2.
Your letter describes the schedule of activities for requalification training of licensed operators at Browns Ferry, Units 1, 2 and 3, and related matters.
We have reviewed the request to deviate from the requalification training and examination schedule as described in the
- FSAR, Section 13.3.6.1.
Based on our review we find that the modified schedule for requalification training and examination is acceptable as described only for the period ending June 30, 1987.
It should be understood that the staff has not reviewed or approved any additional changes to the licensee's requalification training program as described in their FSAR commitments.
Any changes to the scope of the requalification training program or compliance with the requirements of 10 CFR 55, Appendix A, and NUREG-0737 must be submitted to the NRC for staff review.
It is our understanding that all operators will again fully participate in an acceptable requalification training program beginning July 1, 1987, and that all licensed personnel will successfully complete NRC-administered examinations prior to plant startup.
