Dear Mr. Grier:
This supplements our letters PLA-249 dated April 26, 1978 and PLA-267 dated July 5, 1978 and transmits Revision 1 dated December 29, 1978, to the final report, which was previously forwarded via PLA-295 dated October 9, 1978 relative to the subject deficiency reported under 10CFR50.55(e).
The final report transmitted via PLA-295 identified items which required further evaluation in terms of actual loading conditions.
The revised report, transmitted herewith, utilizes actual design shears computed in individual members for all support types used in various buildings and at various elevations.
The results of the evaluations are summarized in paragraph 7.4 of the revised report.
NOTE:
As a result of the evaluationsr Powerstrut member PS-3080, which was previously identified as being acceptable, is now in a category which requires repair.
The items affected by this reassessment are heing maintained under the controls imposed by NCRs-3047 and -2501.
