This information confirms responses given during our telephone conversation of July 16, 1981.

In response to NRC questions concerning the Requalification Program for Susquehanna
- SES, the following clarifications and commitments are made.
The next FSAR Revision will reflect these statements:
13.2.1.1 If an individual scores
<80% overall or <70%
in any area on the=annual
- exam, the license holder will be given accelerated upgrade training and re-examined within 2 weeks.
Periodic quizzes will be administered after each series of lectures.

~ 1 Each license holder will perform at least 10 reactivity manipulations during the 2 year license period.
These manipulations will be performed either on the plant or on the Susquehanna simulator.
13.2.2.1.4 If an individual fails the annual
- exam, the person will receive accelerated upgrade training and be re-examined within 2 weeks.
If the re-exam is failed, the person is immediately removed from license duties and a Performance Review Program will be implemented.
13.2.2.1.2.5 All license holders will attend a minimum of 40 hours4.62963e-4 days <br />0.0111 hours <br />6.613757e-5 weeks <br />1.522e-5 months <br /> annually on the simulator.

Each individual will receive a written examination and a performance evaluation annually.
Should the written exam re-take be failed or the performance exam failed, the person is immediately removed from license duties and the Performance Review Program implemented.
PP&L plans to submit the operator replacement training program to the NRC for review by 15 October, 1981.
PP&L plans to submit the mitigating core damage training program to the NRC for review by 1 November, 1981.
