Dear Mr. Youngblood:
In PLA-684 we advised you that, upon the reset of an ESF actuation signal, all associated safety-related equipment remains in the emergency mode except for circuits identified in response to TMI item II.E.4.2.
Upon further review we have concluded that this was a premature response.
The question of ESF equipment reset is addressed by IE Bulletin 80-06 for which we project a response by 5/30/81.
Since the technical reviews necessary to respond to Bulletin 80-06 have not been completed we must withdraw the information presented in PLA-684.
The answer to your concern will appear in our response to Bulletin 80-06.
Very truly yours, N.W. Curtis Vice President-Engineering and Construction-Nuclear JAB/nar CC:
