We
have
completed
our review of your response
of April 19,
1985, to our Notice,
of Violation (NOV) issued
on March 19,
1985, concerning activities conducted at your
Browns Ferry facility.
We have
evaluated
your response
to Violations 1,
2,
3,
and
5 and found that it meets
the requirements
of 10 CFR 2,201..
We will examine
the
implementation
of your actions
to correct
these
violations during future
inspections.
We concluded
in our March 19,
1985 letter that Violation 4'as
a valid citation,
and
we also
requested
that
you provide additional
information
regarding
the
violation.
No additional
information was provided in your denial
dated April 19,
l
1985; therefore,
we reaffirm Violation 4..
In addition to the
need for corrective action regarding specific matters
in
the'OV,
our
March 19,
1985 letter
expressed
concern
about the
implementation
of
your
management
control
system.
We
also
requested
you
to
"describe
those
particular actions
taken
or planned
to improve effectiveness
of your
program."
This information
was
not
provided
in your April 19,
1985
response,
and
con-
sequently,
a supplemental
response
regarding thia matter is required.
Therefore,
pursuant
to
you are required to submit to this office
within 30 days of the date of this letter
a written statement
or explanation
in
reply including:
(1) admission
or denial
of the alleged Violation 4, (2) the
reasons
for the violation if admitted,
(3) the corrective
steps
which have
been
taken
and the results
achieved,
(4) corrective
steps
which will be taken to avoid
further violations,
and (5) the date
when full compliance will be achieved.
The
response
directed
by this letter is not subject to the clearance
procedures
of the Office of Management
and Budget issued
under the Paperwork
Reduction Act
of 1980,
PL 96-511.
